An Integrative Approach To Women’s Mental Health
With experience across psychology, behaviour change, nutrition, and wellness coaching, Anna takes an integrative approach to supporting women experiencing anxiety, burnout, and emotional or ADHD-related overwhelm.
Her work is particularly focused on women navigating high-functioning anxiety, chronic stress, perimenopause, and late-identified ADHD — especially those who appear capable on the outside while privately struggling to keep up with the demands of daily life.
Anna's approach centres on helping women better understand the emotional, cognitive, behavioural, and lifestyle factors contributing to overwhelm, exhaustion, and the growing sense that life has become increasingly difficult to manage.
Why Axis Within
Axis Within reflects the idea of finding steadiness internally when life externally feels demanding, overwhelming or emotionally consuming.
An axis is the stabilising centre — the point things rotate around. Axis Within was created from the understanding that psychological wellbeing is not simply about functioning better externally, but about reconnecting with a more grounded, supported and sustainable internal foundation.
From this place of greater self-understanding, meaningful and lasting change often becomes possible.
Frequently Asked Questions.

If you've found yourself wondering why everyday tasks seem harder, why you're more easily overwhelmed, or why you're no longer coping in the way you once did, you're not alone.
A range of factors can contribute to this experience, including chronic stress, burnout, anxiety, ADHD-related challenges, life transitions, and hormonal changes.
Therapy provides an opportunity to better understand what may be contributing to these difficulties and develop practical strategies to support your wellbeing.
-
Many women who seek support appear to be coping well on the outside while privately struggling with stress, overwhelm, emotional exhaustion, or the growing sense that they are carrying too much for too long.
You do not need to be in crisis for therapy to be beneficial. Therapy can provide an opportunity to better understand what is contributing to these difficulties and develop practical strategies to support your wellbeing.
-
For some women, difficulties with organisation, time management, task initiation, forgetfulness, emotional regulation, or feeling constantly overwhelmed may be related to ADHD.
Many women develop effective coping strategies throughout childhood and early adulthood, meaning ADHD traits can go unnoticed for years. It is often only when life becomes more demanding—through work, parenting responsibilities, major life changes, or perimenopause—that these challenges become more noticeable.
Therapy can help explore whether ADHD-related difficulties may be contributing to your experience and develop practical strategies to support day-to-day functioning.
-
Yes. Many women find that perimenopause and midlife bring unexpected changes in mood, stress tolerance, sleep, concentration, confidence, and overall wellbeing.
These changes can occur alongside significant life demands, including careers, relationships, caregiving responsibilities, ageing parents, and shifting family dynamics, making this period particularly challenging for some women.
Therapy can provide a supportive space to better understand what you are experiencing, develop practical strategies that support wellbeing and resilience, and navigate this stage of life with greater clarity, confidence, and self-compassion.

Yes. Axis Within offers formal ADHD assessments and diagnostic reports.
The assessment process begins with an initial consultation, which forms part of the overall assessment and diagnostic process. This appointment includes a comprehensive clinical interview and discussion of your concerns, history and current functioning.
ADHD assessment is a multi-step process and a diagnosis is not made during the initial consultation alone. Full details regarding the process, fees, assessment measures, timeframes and report options will be discussed during the initial appointment.
Ongoing psychological support is also available, regardless of the outcome of the assessment.
